As I look back on yet another year that has came and went, I can’t help but to notice that I am not feeling as nostalgic as I normally would be around this time of the year. So for those of you who know me, I know you’re probably shocked! I mean (seriously) I get nostalgic every time something comes to an end and if you’re one of my sisters you’re (definitely) chuckling right now because all you can hear in your heads is me saying something along the lines of, “Aw, this is my last time (insert something I’m doing) for (insert amount of time).
But this year the feeling is different and maybe it’s because I am getting older, I don’t know; but I am choosing to shift my focus this year to looking forward to the beginning of something new instead of reminiscing on what was. Now, please don’t get me wrong because 2018 was another great year for us- my husband and I celebrated five years together, I got my first big-girl job, we bought our first house (brand spankin’ new), celebrated our not-so-little anymore puppy’s first birthday and most importantly we got through our first deployment. But while being thankful and grateful for our many blessings I am focusing on the bright future ahead!
I am finally starting my blog! and I mean finally, because this is the only blog I’ve been thinking about having for quite some time now. I’ve tossed so many ideas around over the years, a fashion blog, a lifestyle blog…etc. I started briefly and stopped and deleted too many times to count. So for this I decided it would be all of the above! It’s about my excursions through life with my husband, Brett and our cute pup Annie; while wearing some awesome outfits, eating some amazing food and decorating our beautiful new home.
